Published in 2004, this book is based on the Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM) Conference on Globalisation and ICT, held in Malmö and Helsingborg, Sweden, 10-12 March 2003. The chapters, provided by prominent Asian and European policymakers, researchers and business representatives, reflect the diversity of the issues that arise in the context of globalisation and ICT (information and communication technologies) in an ASEM-context. All include policy-relevant elements, notably as they explore what co-operation may be motivated between the countries involved to launch and implement common policy-initiatives for the purpose of fostering more productive use of ICT.
